Split Decision
Partway into the dog and pony show, the scene was interrupted by one of those “Did I hear him correctly?” moments. It came so abruptly I stopped writing in my pad and looked up vacantly at buddy on the mike, then relaxed a little after seeing all the other stunned expressions in the room that appeared to have maybe heard it wrong, too...

Our readers write
When editing a particularly bold statement by a writer, we often wonder how many readers will comment on what has been written.

One man's trash ...
Surprisingly, technical editor Martin Olson, who writes half of this Buyer’s Guide issue and most of the instructional stories every season, is as good with his hands in the summer as he is on his feet all winter.
