EASY CRUISING TEST 2010 from Buyer's Guide 2010 issue
THE CATEGORY
Mid-range performance in long and short turns
These skis are designed and tested for performance at
intermediate speeds on groomed slopes. And since everyone
likes to step on it every once in a while, grip and the ability
to remain stable at speed are also taken into consideration.
This category is for those learning to carve and who don’t
get out as often as they would like, so ease of initiation
and forgiveness are valid strengths. Easy Cruising skis are
expected to take a skier to the next level of speed and skill.
THE PLAYING FIELD
Weather conditions were perfect for the test. Fresh Big White snow from the
last 24 hours had been groomed on the chosen runs off Ridge Rocket Express
and the terrain was smooth, responsive and predictable.
